What's that you carry?
The breeze whistled through, but after it passed
Stillness settled upon the expanse. All through the centuries and down through the years, Each generation listened, as if in a trance. You're not so holy!
Have you ever tried to be good?
To be the one that you know you should? Then you would know without a doubt, That it’s just not possible, it won’t work out. Oh … you aren’t so holy! And you aren’t so good! No matter how you try, It’s just no good! And that’s why Jesus came to earth, you see, To bring salvation to you and me! A Song of PrayerLord give me the eyes to see,
The things you want me to see, Lord give me the ears to hear, The things you want me to hear. Lord give me things to touch, The things you want me to touch And bind them all together With love from Heaven above! I’ll see the things you see, When touched only by thee I’ll hear the things you hear, You make it so very clear. I’ll see the things you touch For this I owe you so much. Lord I give praise to thee, For all that you give to me Lord I give praise to thee, For all Eternity! |
